General terms and conditions Villa o Sonho

These general terms and conditions cover:

• Booking one or more overnight stays in one of Villa o Sonho’s flats.
• Booking a retreat, workshop or other event.
• Booking Villa o Sonho as a group event venue.
• Booking Villa o Sonho as a wedding venue.

Making a reservation at Villa o Sonho

If you have placed an (online) reservation you will receive an e-mail with a reservation confirmation and additional information such as confirmation and payment as soon as possible, at the latest within 48 hours after receiving your booking. We assume that you have read these conditions carefully before making a booking with us, so that you are aware of the agreement and the corresponding rights and obligations, such as payments and cancellations.

Once the booking has been approved, you will receive a booking confirmation by e-mail. This booking is final as soon as a down payment of 10% has been received by Villa o Sonho, within 14 days of the booking date. The remaining 90% of the payment must be received by us no later than 6 weeks before the booking date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Please note:

• For bookings with an arrival date less than 2 weeks, you pay the full amount at once.
• A deposit applies to every space rented within Villa O Sonho. The amount of this deposit will be communicated prior to the reservation. After check-out, the rented space will be inspected. If the rented space is in the same condition as you found it at the start of the rental period, 100% of the deposit will be refunded to your bank account. This will be done no later than 1 week after check-out.

Cancellation before arrival at booking date

Should you wish to cancel your booking for any reason, these conditions apply:

• For cancellations up to 75 days before arrival, you will owe 25% of the booking price to Villa o Sonho (i.e. the deposit will not be refunded upon cancellation).
• In case of cancellation between the 75th day and 55th day before arrival you owe 60% of the booking price and you are obliged to pay the remainder to Villa o Sonho within 30 days after cancellation.
• In case of cancellation between the 54th day and 35th day before arrival, you as the booker owe 90% of the booking price and are obliged to pay the remainder to Villa o Sonho within 30 days after cancelling.
• When cancelling within 35 days before arrival: participant owes 100% of the booking price and is obliged to pay the remainder to Villa o Sonho within 30 days after cancelling.

If you unexpectedly have to go home during the booking period, there will be no refund of the booking fee. We recommend that you always take out cancellation insurance for this purpose.

To avoid misunderstandings, the booking can only be cancelled by the booker in writing by sending an e-mail to contact@villaosonho.com. As flight tickets are not part of the booking, the booker himself is responsible for this. Villa o Sonho is never responsible or liable for this and plays no part in it.

Cancellation during your stay

Should you for any reason no longer wish to stay during your booking period, refunds are not applicable, unless Villa o Sonho has been negligent and has not delivered what was agreed. In this case, you should send a complaint to contact@villaosonho.com which will be dealt with within 6 weeks of receipt at the latest.
